CASSAVA FLAKES (GARRI)

Cassava flakes popularly known as Garri  is a popular  cereal and one of the staple foods in Nigeria  which comes in powdered form but not smooth. it is originated from the south America and became popular in Nigeria in the 19th century. it is the most commercialized cassava product in Ghana. It is a granola flour that is gotten by processing the starchy tuberous roots of freshly harvested cassava, it is one of the most affordable and popular food in Nigeria WAYS OF SERVING Garri comes in two which are white Garri and yellow Garri can be served in two ways, which are drinking Garri and eba respectively  Drinking Garri is simply taken with just water and sugar sometimes with milk, groundnut or kuli kuli, depending on one's choice. sometimes, Garri is not taken as food but as an in between meal. While Yellow Garri is a type of Garri that has been coated with palm oil and dried. this is usually used to make a meal named eba using just hot water and best taken with vegetables and good

YAM FLOUR (elubo)

  Amala(Cooked form of yam flour) Powdered form of yam flour (Elubo) Yam flour in its raw form Yam FLOUR popularly known as "elubo" is orginated from the western part of Nigeria. Yam flour is made by cutting yam into small bits, dried and grounded to smooth texture, this powder can be used to make dishes like lafun and amala. It is also taken by other countries like Ghana who refer it to as "konkonte". Yam flour has different food nutrients like Vitamin B6, B1, riboflavin, folic acid and also niacin with also little amount of vitamin A. Yam flour is good for people have diabetes, menopausal women, support digestive system and many more health benefit. Amala which is the major food made from yam flour is one of the popular swallow in Nigeria which comes in 2 versions; one white and the other black, depending on your choice. It can be eaten with soup mostly "ewedu soup" made from jute leaves.

PEANUT CAKE (kuli kuli)

 Tasty and crunchy peanut cake also known as kuli kuli. Peanut cake is rich in magnesium, calcium, protein and also good for diabetic patient. It helps in strengthening the bones and teeth in the body and also protect human from heart diseases. Peanut cake is a popular snack that is generated from the Northern part of Nigeria which is now known and taken in other countries like Benin, Northern Cameroon, Ghana and many other countries. Some refer peanut cake as kuli kuli which is the original name while others refer it to as groundnut cake, groundnut chips and many more. It also comes in different sizes and shapes which are not specific.
