Yam FLOUR popularly known as "elubo" is orginated from the western part of Nigeria. Yam flour is made by cutting yam into small bits, dried and grounded to smooth texture, this powder can be used to make dishes like lafun and amala. It is also taken by other countries like Ghana who refer it to as "konkonte".

Yam flour has different food nutrients like

Vitamin B6, B1, riboflavin, folic acid and also niacin with also little amount of vitamin A.

Yam flour is good for people have diabetes, menopausal women, support digestive system and many more health benefit.

Amala which is the major food made from yam flour is one of the popular swallow in Nigeria which comes in 2 versions; one white and the other black, depending on your choice. It can be eaten with soup mostly "ewedu soup" made from jute leaves.
